HITOMO began with a simple frustration: most chair mats protect the floor, but they rarely make the room feel better. Clear plastic mats can look temporary. Thin rugs can slide. Decorative rugs are not always made for rolling chairs or daily workspaces.

The Problem We Saw

As more people built home offices, reading corners, and flexible work areas, the floor became part of everyday comfort. A chair mat needed to do more than prevent scratches. It needed to stay put, feel comfortable, clean easily, and look intentional in the home.

The HITOMO Approach

We design from the floor up. Our mats combine practical floor protection with rug-inspired patterns, soft textures, and home-friendly colors. The goal is not to make the loudest piece in the room. The goal is to make the room feel more finished.
